Problem solving is generally an approach to teach mathematics. It was
firstly introduced by George Polya in 1957. Now, many experts have used
it not only to solve mathematics problem but also general problem such
as physic, chemistry, business or daily life problems. This approach is
easily applied in our life and I think it is important for you to know
more about the approach. So, I am going to share some books about
problem solving for you. enjoy it..

DOWNLOAD BOOKS OF REALISTIC MATHEMATICS EDUCATION
Realistic Mathematics Education is an approach to teach mathematics by encouraging students to build their own mathematical knowledge using daily life experience. This approach claims mathematics as human activities and make mathematics has more sense for students. Hans Freudenthal, the creator of this approach, stated that knowing mathematics is making mathematics is the key word of this approach. Andrew Noyes agreed with the way this approach treat students. He said nowadays many children are trained to do mathematical calculations rather that being educated to think mathematically. How to make students think mathematically is the purpose of RME. Now I would like to share some books related to this approach. Enjoy it..
DOWNLOAD BOOKS OF HANS FREUDENTHAL
Hans Freudenthal is a great mathematician. He became famous after introducing an approach to teach mathematics, especially for children, which is now known as Realistic Mathematics Education. He stated that 'Mathematics is human activities' that is why he taught students not to know mathematics but to make mathematics. To give a respect for his bright idea, an institute was built to give chance for them who want to learn more the approach. The institute was named Freudenthal Institute in Netherland. Now, I want to share some of his books. enjoy it..

Mathematics Problem: Games reaching a number
A number is given as a goal and two
persons, in turn, will add any single-digit number start from 0 until they
reach the number. The first person who reach the number will win the game.
Develop a system that will allow you to win if you go first each game.
Problem Solving as A Process (steps)
Problem
Solving as a Process
As a process, according to George Polya (1957), problem solving originally has 4 steps. The first step is understanding the problem. In this step, students have to carefully read the problem, decide what they are going to do, and indentify the important data. The second step is devising a plan where students consider some possible actions or strategies such as drawing a graph, finding a pattern, or making a list. Furthermore, the next step is carrying out the plan. Students implement a particular plan to solve the problem, if necessary, create a new plan. Finally, students reflect and look back at what they have done, what worked, and what didn't. This process should be seen as a dynamic, non-linear and flexible approach. By using these steps, students will deal more effectively and successfully with most types of mathematical problems.

ALIRAN PENDIDIKAN KLASIK
1. Aliran Pendidikan Empirisme
